Pizza Italia // Bloomfield

Speaking of Box Art, this place has some of the best I've seen...Check it out...No words, simple and classic...

The Pizza is o.k...I go here because the slices are cheap, and its next to Paul's records...so it makes for a good 1-2 punch when I'm in Bloomfield. Four slices for $5 bucks and you are in and out of there in maybe 1 minute with food...Thats definitely a nice quality...I would say the taste and quality are average - Better than Pesaro's Overall, a B- . This place serves its purpose of cheap/quick and decent, so I will go there again and again when thats what I'm looking for.

Pesaro's // Lawrenceville

Never thought much about trying this place, but when you are in Lawrenceville and want something to eat after the bar, this place is there for you. Went in about a week ago, ordered an Xtra Large for $12.83, and picked it up after a few beers at the New Amsterdam. The Pizza tasted better than it smelled, but the sauce was real oregano-y. Not so much that I would say the Pizza sucks, but it lets its presence be known for sure...The pizza is pretty doughy - as is most of the pizza Ive had in PGH, but this stuff somehow stays soft and fluffy even the next morning?!...I guess overall its ok...Maybe a C...I would not make a trip out of my way to go here, but if youre on Butler St. and half intoxicated, it will definitely do the trick.

The Box Art is kind of weak too.

Italian Village // Squirrel Hill

Ive been here a few times and remembered it being pretty good, so tonight I comitted to a whole pie. I was excited for it to be good, and I must say, it was. Thin crust, and good sauce/cheese ratio.

Its the kind of pizza you can eat a lot of in a short amount of time, and not feel too gross. They also sell canoli which were pretty tasty. And the guy working there was nice. So, I will go back.
